TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1

Upon arrival at the airport, meet your guide and transfer to the hotel. Check in and rest after your journey.

Day 2

Visit Meiji Shrine, an iconic Shinto site dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken. Experience the world-famous Shibuya Crossing before attending Holy Mass at Takanawa Catholic Church. Explore Asakusa Sensoji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest and most significant Buddhist temple. Enjoy dinner before returning to the hotel.

Day 3

Travel to Mount Fuji 5th Station, weather permitting. Discover Oshino Hakkai, a charming village with crystal-clear spring water ponds. Visit Chureito Pagoda, offering breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. Return to Tokyo for dinner and rest.

Day 4

Take a bullet train to Akita. Visit the Chapel of Seitai Hoshikai and attend Mass at this sacred site, known for the miraculous statue of Our Lady of Akita. Spend time in prayer at the Our Lady of Sorrows before dinner and overnight stay in Akita.

Day 5

Begin the day with Mass at St. Augustine’s Church. Explore the Aoyagi Samurai Manor to get a glimpse of the samurai lifestyle. Stroll through Kakunodate Merchant District, known for its well-preserved Edo-period architecture. Return to Akita for dinner and overnight.

Day 6

Transfer to Kyoto via bullet train, a scenic six-hour journey. Upon arrival, visit Kawaramachi Catholic Church for reflection and Mass. Enjoy free time to explore Kyoto before dinner.

Day 7

Walk through the serene Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and visit Nijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Attend Mass at a local church and enjoy an evening at leisure before dinner.

Day 8

Transfer to Hiroshima and visit the Atomic Bomb Dome, a preserved remnant of the 1945 bombing. Explore the Peace Memorial Museum to gain insight into the city’s history. Visit Hiroshima Castle before dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9

Travel to Nagasaki and visit the 26 Martyrs Museum, dedicated to Japan’s Christian martyrs. Attend Mass at a local church (TBD) before heading to Nakamichi Church. End the day with dinner and rest.

Day 10

Visit St. Philip Church for Mass, followed by a tour of Hongochi Monastery. Explore Oura Church, Japan’s oldest church and a UNESCO heritage site. Enjoy dinner before returning to the hotel.

Day 11

Spend the day at Unzen Onsen, a renowned hot spring town. Visit Shimabara Church for Mass, followed by lunch at Himematsuya Hara Castle. See the Minamishimabara Virgin Statue, honoring the persecuted Christians of Japan. Return to Nagasaki for dinner and rest.

Day 12

Explore Urakami Cathedral before visiting Hypocenter Park and the Atomic Bomb Museum. Learn about Dr. Takashi Nagai’s legacy at the Nagai Takashi Memorial. Enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Nagasaki from Mt. Inasa in the evening before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day 13

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight, concluding this unforgettable pilgrimage and cultural journey.
